Eucharist

The Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life.” The Eucharist is the efficacious sign and sublime cause of that communion in the divine life and that unity of the People of God by which the Church is kept in being. It is the culmination both of God’s action sanctifying the world in Christ and of the worship men offer to Christ and through him to the Father in the Holy Spirit (CCC 1324-1325)

First Eucharist

Sacrament preparation is offered though our C.C.D. Program. Children in our parish make their First Eucharist as second-graders in the spring, if all requirements are met. First Eucharist for older children can be arranged through the RCIC program or on an individual basis. Public school students attend weekly classes. Second grade Parochial school students receive their religious instruction and sacrament preparation during the regular school day and join us throughout the year for specified retreats, rehearsals, and celebrations. These activities provide a great opportunity to get to know others who will also celebrate these sacraments at our parish. Preparation for First Eucharist includes instruction on the Mass and Eucharist.
